Mid North Coast Community Legal Centre has provided civil law services in the local government areas of MidCoast, Port Macquarie – Hastings and Kempsey Shire for the past 8 years.   MNCCLC has recently secured funding to expand its services to the local government areas of Nambucca Shire, Bellingen Shire and Coffs Harbour.  MNCCLC will establish an office in Coffs Harbour in July 2019 and is recruiting several positions to staff this office.  MNCCLC seeks to provide access to justice through a multidisciplinary approach that includes legal information, legal advice, advocacy and representation, policy and law reform and legal outreach across the geographic catchment area.   

The MNCCLC team consists of a team of 10-12 friendly staff and volunteers, with its main office located at 30 Murray Street, Port Macquarie. 

Admin and Client Services Assistant – Coffs Harbour (25 hours per week, 1 year contract)

The Admin and Client Services Assistant will contribute to the effective and efficient day to day running of the Coffs Harbour office and provide timely, quality service to the Principal Solicitor and Executive Officer – Legal Advocacy. The person in this role will lead by positive example to deliver high-quality service, support and team work. Solicitor – Coffs Harbour (35 hour week, 1 year contract)

Under the supervision of the Principal Solicitor, the solicitor will provide free civil law legal services including information, advice, casework, advocacy, representation, community legal education and policy and law reform to the catchment covered by the MNCCLC. The solicitor should be committed to social justice and have a minimum 3 years’ experience providing civil law legal services. To see full job description and conditions click here.
